The Doty Research Grant was established in 1992 to help fund a primary research or preservation endeavor for the enhancement and protection of ceramic surfaces in the United States.

Tile Heritage Foundation members maintain the Doty Research Grant. They contribute funds specifically for this purpose in addition to their annual membership dues. Their generosity makes this grant possible.
