A view from across the Seine of the magnificent National Museum of Ceramics, designed in the early 19th century by Alexandre Brongniart, the son of architect Thèodore Brongniart, the director of the Sèvres manufactory. The museum houses one of the finest collections of porcelain in he world. The factory and studios, founded in 1738, are located behind the museum.
